Kurtosis

Measure of how heavy the tails of a distribution are.  The normal distribution has a kurtosis of 3.  Higher values mean the tails are heavier than the normal distribution, i.e., more units fall outside the specifications than predicted using the normal distribution.  Smaller values indicate lighter tails than the normal distribution, i.e., fewer units fall outside the specifications than predicted using the normal distribution.  For example, the uniform distribution, with no tails, has a kurtosis of 1.8.
