Maintenance Panel Dialog Box

The Maintenance Panel dialog box is used to tighten tolerances on the inputs in order to reduce the resulting variation of the output. The inputs displayed depend on the simulation selected. Not all inputs may appear as you may not be allowed to tighten the tolerances for certain inputs. Tightening all the tolerances to zero may not eliminate all the variation in the outputs as the simulation may include measurement error and other sources of variation for which tolerances cannot be tightened. To change the tolerance, type a value between 0 and 100 into the edit box provided or double click on the desired value on the dial. A value of 100% means that the tolerance has not been tightened. A value of 0% means the input does not vary. If an illegal value is entered, a red X is drawn through the dial. The dialog box will not close if there are any illegal values.
It is displayed by selecting the Maintenance button on the Control Panel window and by selecting the Maintenance Panel (Reduce Variation) menu item on the Data menu or the associated toolbar button.
